A 3
Day Plan to Fix Your Restaurant’s Google Profile
About an hour a day for three days gets
your restaurant's Google profile complete, active and ready
Most restaurant owners know their Google profile matters, but it always ends up at the bottom of the list, behind staffing, suppliers and the dinner rush. The good news is that the biggest fixes do not take months. When we set up a new restaurant, most of the foundation gets done in the first few days. Rankings take longer to climb, but the work that starts the climb is quick.
Here is a simple three day plan you can follow yourself, about an hour a day. If your profile is already complete and active, skip to the last section.
Ask yourself
- When did you last open your Google Business Profile, not just look at it on Maps?
- If a new guest looked at your profile right now, would they see today’s menu, real food photos and recent reviews with your replies?
- Do you know which restaurant shows up above you for your cuisine?
Why a fast start matters
Every week your profile sits incomplete, the restaurant above you keeps collecting the orders. Google needs time to notice and reward improvements, often up to a few months, so the sooner the foundation is in place, the sooner that clock starts.
The three day plan
Day 1: Fix what Google sees
- Choose the most accurate primary category and add secondary ones that truly fit, like catering.
- Turn on attributes that apply: dine in, takeout, delivery, outdoor seating, vegetarian options.
- Update your hours, including upcoming holidays.
- Write a plain description of your food, your specialties and who you serve.
Day 2: Make it look alive
- Update your menu with current dishes and prices.
- Add 10 or more real photos: your best dishes, your dining room, your team.
- Publish one post about a special or event.
- Reply to every review from the last few months.
Day 3: Set up the habits
- Put a review QR code at the register and on tables.
- Make sure your name, address, phone and hours match your website and delivery apps.
- Plan one post a week and new photos every month.
- Write down where you rank today so you can measure progress.
Do the math
Three hours of work that brings in even 10 more guests a month at a $35 check is $350 a month, or $4,200 a year, from time you would otherwise spend scrolling.
Your next step
Block three evenings this week and work through the plan. If you would rather hand it off, GurooAI does the setup for you and keeps it running every week after. Start with a free map audit. If we do not think we can move your rank, we will say so. Or call (980) 746-9959, option 4.
